My Friend Peppa Pig gameplay trailer is here

Peppa Pig finally has a video game incoming that appears to capture the spirit, voices, and overall style of the series. Watching the gameplay trailer it’s almost indistinguishable from an episode of the series, and it’s not entirely clear what the involvement of the person playing actually is, as the way it’s presented could be a series of cut scenes.

The My Friend Peppa Pig game will be available on PlayStation/Xbox/Switch & Steam on October 22nd, 2021.

For me, having been out of the Peppa game for a couple of years at least now, this seems to be coming a bit late. However with Hasboro’s acquisition of the Peppa franchise on Dec 31, 2019, and the ensuing pandemic, maybe this is the first chance they’ve had.

Peppa has been renewed until at least 2027 so a new generation of children will be able to play this and my kids will say to them “Ah you think Peppa is your ally? You merely adopted the pigs. We were born in them, molded by them. I didn’t see Potato City until I had lost my first tooth and by then it was nothing to me but vegetables.”

No comment on the game play as, really, that doesn’t look like much game play other than selecting a character.
