School’s back for some Nashvillians after 48 weeks virtual

Mid March of 2020 school closed down to in-person learning and for a while went to a public TV only format. Mid October K-4 went back and the expectation was that various other groups would shortly follow.

Because idiots had to travel and kill over 236 thousand Americans with the Coronavirus between October 15th 2020 and Feb 1st, 2021 school never resumed in person for the next groups of kids.

It resumed for the K-4 group two weeks ago for four days, and then was out the next school week as ice and sleet shut down metro schools completely.

Yesterday grades 5 & 9 went back to in person had the parents chosen that. Friday (two days from now,) 6,7,8 will be back. And Wednesday of next week assuming all goes well grades 10, 11, and 12 go back for a total of … looks like 13 school days before taking off for Spring Break, 8 more days of school before we finally reach the next superspreader holiday – Easter.

MNPS had relatively little in the way of Covid. It was mostly shutdowns due to proximity. We’ll see.
