And just like that, we’re back (to virtual)

Our school had one teacher quarantined for two weeks but no Covid cases over the roughly 7 week run it was open. Ours was not the exception, but you have to look at what’s going on in the community and that was a 300% increase in cases and a couple of schools where it appeared Covid-19 was spreading between students.

During the last few weeks I’ve been pretty much exhaustively reconditioning a basement, getting emergency plans in place, rehabbing old furniture, and doing all the things I I could while the kiddos were in school. Neglecting the sites a bit, but you know… back to that tonight.

I fully expect schools to come back sometime in March and be open for roughly two weeks, but in the meantime we’re almost ready for virtual school round 2 for my kids and attempting to come up with some pod or something for my littlest to get to play with humans. She didn’t care particularly until Kindergarten in person started and now it’s a goal. My 7yo seems otherwise OK with a month (at least,) getting to sleep in.

We actually went a lot further than I expected with in person. Having read the metrics, should have been several weeks back. But whatever. Winter is coming.
