A sugar-fueled holiday

Christmas has come and gone. The kids got roughly a soccer ball worth of plastic that the wrapping, packaging, and such took up a couple of 90-gallon recycling bins by themselves.

My six year old wants to figure out what the Santa game is. She knows and at the same time doesn’t know he’s not real and can’t figure out what our angle in promoting the Santa conspiracy is, but will play along.

The four year old thinks Santa just tells people (parents, etc) what they want… which is pretty accurate. Both have realized that the format of a Christmas show is “something saves Christmas” and that it’s pretty well played out.

We had a pretty good time. Kids got some Polly Pockets, which seems to be a hit. LOL Surprise giant cat container of some sort. A couple of Blume dolls which are on deck for playing with but not yet. We got a lego set that appears to be missing pieces. While rare in my experience, this is the second one that I’ve run into in my life.

Inevitable meltdowns with the 6yo, 4yo learning to be a troll. Got out quite a bit as it’s been nearly 70 all week so have been able to run the beasts to exhaustion sometimes.

Meh, 2019 not too bad.
