The lie of the day

Having some night pee issues with one of the kiddos and we’ve had a deal that if she goes three nights without peeing in a diaper we switch to undies and sometime after that there’s a doll involved.

Previously we’ve had a sensor that went in the diaper that would theoretically wake her up to train her to get up for pee, but instead would buzz for 20-30 minutes before it finally roused her from sleep.

Kid can sleep through a nuke.

She’s been disappointed because her sister is mostly trained at the moment and wants that doll gift (even though she’d have to get through several nights sleeping sans diaper)… this morning she came up and told us she had a dry diaper. This was good news. We want no diapers in the house any more.

I didn’t quite believe it. Came downstairs and in the Diaper Genie there was a warm, soaked, diaper. Bleh.

She admitted she’d lied after I mentioned that all the diapers had numbers on them (I lied,) and that we have cameras everywhere (we do, but not guarding a diaper genie).

I asked what she’d expected was going to happen when we had to put her back in diapers after she peed in the bed and there was no answer.

Not sure what we can do at the moment to get her to wake up and pee because she does not wake up for anything.
