Moved baby out of the bedroom, slept like a rock

Maggie and AerinAerin is almost one year old, it was time to kick her out of the bedroom.

Aerin’s stay wasn’t particularly bad. She would go to bed at 8pm and wake up sometime around 5am, you could give her a bottle and she’d be back out for another hour if you wanted to sleep a bit more, but I guess I didn’t realize how much she actually grunted and woke me up in her sleep.

She had a little difficulty adjusting to the new room. Maybe because it was brighter, maybe just because it was new. We had her in there a few times yesterday attempting to get a nap and it was not something she was happy with. She’s been used to a dark alcove with a very cool breeze on one side of the crib and a warm side as well.

New room had no breeze but was cooler. This resulted in baby splaying out to cool down as she’s a little heat generating bundle of cabbage, but otherwise things worked out well.

We had the camera and audio monitoring her, turned slightly down so that I could hear her but not in full glorious baby boom sound.

At about 6:20 this morning I heard my first peep, went down and checked and she was rubbing her eyes, just got up, seemed completely not cranky.

Unfortunately I was up quite a few times making sure the audio and the cam were working… all were. I asked Maggie who’s in the other room if she heard baby any last night and she said no. All seems like a go for a successful first night moved. So slept like rock music I guess 😉
