Baby babbling, 3yo refusing to give up the plug

Aerin the Minor MinerAerin’s started attempts at talking lately. Today she perfectly said “Maggie” and then wouldn’t repeat it. She’s also got pretty good at being more interactive and less catastrophic wandering Babyzilla yesterday. There’s been no real transition – one day Babyzilla, the next she’s actively playing with the toys I wanted her to play with.

The three year old made a deal with mom to give up the pacifier for a baby doll toy, then broke said deal within two hours saying she would rather have the pacifier. Baby doll in stroller is now nowhere to be played with or seen. Maggie hasn’t asked about it. Might wrap it up in something and put it on display of what she gets when she keeps her word.

She made another deal last night, lasted about six minutes before she was digging heels in to get the paci back. She even found a hidden pacifier as we weren’t helping her look for it. Pretty sure she stashed it away for a rainy day as she knew right where it would be.

I’m not a huge anti-plug advocate, however I am quite strict strict on not helping her find what she didn’t care enough about to put in a place she could find it again. I’ve found pacifiers behind the toilet, in the bathtub, under the couch, etc.
