The 4th of July weekend

Fourth of July 2015I’ll start by mentioning the winner of the Para’Kito contest was Karen Hicks, I’ll be contacting you later about it.

I’d planned to have a fairly long and elaborate well documented prize selection methodology, but I just put everyone’s name in a randomizing Excel spreadsheet due to time limitations.

I’ve been dealing with check fraud and most of my time today has been running police reports to the bank, contacting companies I deal with that auto bill, etc.

I’ll be dealing with it another couple of days I’m sure and then will have a few neat things up.

I learned that Maggie is fine with fireworks, as long as she can stay away from the really loud ones. I think she enjoys those, but I have a feeling she was getting overwhelmed by them as she’d be looking and oohing and ahhing but will start to get trembly.

We had a couple of hugs and making things a bit more quiet, but she seemed to really be all about small scale incendiary and dog snake fireworks. I think morter level booms just rattle the nerves of a little one.

She had a pretty good weekend overall.
