the IT city, the I.T. Baby

Twas a couple of days before Christmas

Maggie vs the SnowmanMaggie’s been going baby bonkers lately… it’s not been a great combo – changing time zone, new area, new molars coming in, nonstop rain… but today she managed to get out and see the sun and attack her first inflatable tree.

She’s been busy for the past few days sharpening her fingernails into little baby claws and hugging everyone, and biting ITMama and me. She’s got a bucket of toys here, but she is still quite enthralled by appropriate sized seating.

She’s really been playing with the drawing pad we got her, and stalking a cat, but for the most part she tends to ignore the tree and presents and instead is fascinated by a dancing Santa Claus that plays Jingle Bell Rock while shaking his hips.

For reasons unknown Maggie’s switched back to two naps a day. This means there’s twice the fighting and wailing… oh yeah, neither naps is without great complaint. She’ll demand to be put to bed and then wail and wail until she passes out.

She’s evidently either allergic to the same thing I am, or whatever demon cold I had has claimed her, as we’re both red nosed sneezing bandits at about the same times during the day.

We saw the light of the sun today for a bit, but it’s 4ish now and already dark. I think this is also messing with the baby’s internal clock, but very little I can do about the seasons. Should be longer days coming up from now on.

Getting a bit tired of the two fights a day though, hope this will be resolved by the time the holidays are over.
