the IT city, the I.T. Baby

First words, sick again, fun times

Maggie in the high chairTwo days ago while at a Target grabbing some of their baby formula as we were precariously low, Maggie decided to go into a long rant saying “Dada” over and over again. It wasn’t multiple da’s, it was multiple “da da”s. Yup, I win at first words.

She seems to have decided that is her word, although she generally is looking at ITMama when she says it, and seems to enjoy that she’s saying it to her. I’m not sure if that’s because ITMama is the one who normally says “dada” more or what the deal is, but at the moment we’ve got some label confusion in the baby.

I’ve been accused of coaching her to say that, but considering I’ve only been attempting to get her to say “hello” that’s all I will cop to.

She’s also developed yet another baby illness. This one turned her stomach south and seems to have precipitated a rash of unseen proportions that we’re busy fighting at the moment. It’s a shade of red and bumpy that a colorblind man can see, and that’s not good for anyone.

We’ve got her using some new toys and things this past week. It’s sort of been a blur of activity, but she was kicked out of daycare so there really hasn’t been any chance to write anything as the holiday prep + baby = no time to blog.

As I write this she’s getting a bath and there’s really nothing I can do to help on that one other than sing Rubber Duckie for her.

That’s about it for today, probably have some interesting stuff to report next week and a lot of products we’ve played with that I need to write up, but I got a baby to play with before writing about it for the site 😉

She’s also got two lower teeth and is rocking chewing Baby Mum Mums at the moment.
