Top ten things my six month old loves

Have had two days with a fairly cranky infant in tow so not really have had a chance to write up new experiences and reviews, of which I’ve got a few. Decided to write this blog post with my thumb being held by M and put in pictures and links to her favorite things.
These are the things that came to mind immediately, and considering I’m fighting a cranky baby I’m probably missing out on some. Actually I know I’m missing out on some, but seriously, you ever try to write a blog entry holding a baby? Should be titled ten things I could think of while battling a baby monster that she likes, but I’m not re-titling it.
1. The Chica Show
I don’t know exactly how we ran across this as we were not planning on getting her hooked on TV, but the orange-feathered Chica with squeaky-toy voice has become something that brings joy to a crying baby.
Whatever the case, Chica has her heart during the puppet portion of The Chica Show, but the cartoon section tends to lose her attention.
I couldn’t find an episode of Chica online, but there she is on the Sunny Side Up Show.
I also did a review of the toy.
2. MAM pacifiers
I don’t know why, but she’s a brand-addict. We haven’t been able to use anything but MAM-brand pacifiers without complaints.
3. Baby’s First Doll
Not entirely sure she would miss it if it were gone, but the Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby’s First Doll makes a great chew toy and does serve to distract her whenever she’s in a grumpy mood.
4. Hammy the cat
She has as of late shown a great fondness for holding his tail. Hammy has decided to let this happen as either he knows she’s a human now, maybe he likes her, or perhaps he’s just buttering everyone up so he can stay inside during the winter.
He has become total lap cat since the temperatures dropped.
5. Her mommy and daddy
Haven’t figured out where we fall in priority before or behind the toys. Think it changes by the minute. Think we’re most entertaining, but did’t want to brag.
6. Infantino Square Twist and Fold Activity Gym
She loves grabbing hanging things on the gym that doubles as a tummy time mat, we’ve got one side of it loaded with all the animals that came with it and some that didn’t.
7. Sitting outside watching the cars go by
Seems to be the best way to calm and simultaneously entertain her.
8. Singing
Doesn’t have to be good, just has to be interesting. Current favorites seem to be The Bird is the Word and anything that repeats quickly such as an inane sing I sing that goes “Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep”
9. Willie’s Roadhouse
I’m not sure how we discovered this, but Maggie loves Willie’s Roadhouse on XM and most old country. Seems to work better at calming her if there’s a slide guitar involved. No clue.
10. Baths
Not entirely sure why she loves them, but she does. She hates the getting out and getting dry part. We’re still using the poo strainer to bathe her in, and she still loves it.
