Need to Know: BabyLit Books
Geez Louis, Baby M has accumulated quite the book collection. I’ve yet to buy her a book shelf because I need something that hangs on the wall due to our 1940’s house space restrictions, but I’m a little proud of all my family and friends book nerdiness and that they think so fondly of my daughter that they pass on the love.
Right now they overflow a basket in the nurseries small closet, but I cannot wait to display all the beautiful little things and plan on hitting Pinterest in the near future for some storage idea’s!
One of my favorite baby books came from my friend Jen. She was browsing AN ACTUAL BRICK AND MORTAR BOOKSTORE (Oh, Jen you old school hipster you! ;)) and came upon the super amazing and tres adorable BabyLit books!
Baby Maggie was the proud recipient of Alice in Wonderland, a color primer and our tiny friend Connor received Moby Dick, an ocean primer
Its a win-win for parents and baby. You get to look at the beautiful cheeky art and laugh at the board book interpretations of classics and your offspring learns colors, animals, numbers and other subjects while becoming familiar with beloved classic literature characters and concepts.
It looks like the BabyLit company has a cult following and even sells cute bags, buttons and beautiful prints you could use in a book themed nursery.

- Mad Hatter Fun!
Current titles include the above mentioned along with Dracula, Romeo and Juliet, Wuthering Heights, Sense and Sensibility, Jane Eyre, Sherlock Holmes, Pride and Prejudice and A Christmas Carol. Future titles include Anna Karenina ( A Fashion (!!!) Primer – because babies need to know fashion, yo) and Jabberwocky, a Nonsense Primer.
And you know your daughter needs a Mr. Darcy stuffed toy.
In a word: charming.
BabyLit books retail for $9.99 but can be found on Amazon in the $8.99 range.
